Prohibits food facilities from locating grease traps or grease interceptors in food preparation areas, with exemptions allowed when structural hardship prevents alternative placement and the facility provides cleaning/maintenance plans and sanitation procedures

Authorizes passthrough window service openings up to 432 square inches if equipped with an air curtain device or self-closing device, and allows openings larger than 432 square inches if equipped with both devices

Grants enforcement agencies authority to approve alternative passthrough window or service openings if they adequately maintain exclusion of vermin or other contamination

Exempts walls and ceilings in bar areas where beverages are sold, served, or dispensed directly to consumers from requirements to be durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, and easily cleanable (except near sinks and food prep areas)

Exempts temporary food facilities approved for limited food preparation from overhead protection requirements when environmental factors that could contaminate food are absent due to location or other limiting conditions
