Adds medical and educational appointments as valid reasons for excused absences that childcare providers can claim for reimbursement under state childcare and development programs

Allows childcare contractors to claim reimbursement for days they must hold a space for a child during the period when a family is assumed to have abandoned care or is appealing a disenrollment decision

Extends the family fee exemption for families receiving child protective services from 12 months to 24 months

Applies to childcare and development programs administered by the State Department of Social Services serving children from infancy to 13 years of age
