Requires school districts and county offices of education that allow K-12 students to park class 1, 2, or 3 electric bicycles on campus to mandate completion of an e-bike safety training program before parking privileges are granted

Students must complete either the California Highway Patrol's electric bicycle safety and training program or an equivalent safety course prescribed by local government or law enforcement

Students must submit proof of course completion to their school before parking their electric bicycle on campus

School districts and county offices of education that adopted their own electric bicycle safety policy on or before January 1, 2027, are exempt from these requirements

Requirements take effect beginning with the 2027–28 school year
