Courts must prohibit alcohol purchases for 1 year to the entire probation period for DUI offenders who had blood alcohol of 0.16% or higher, had a prior DUI within 3 years, or caused property damage over $1,000, great bodily injury, or death

DMV will issue driver's licenses or ID cards marked "NO ALCOHOL SALES" for individuals subject to court-ordered alcohol purchase prohibitions

Selling alcohol to someone presenting an ID with the "NO ALCOHOL SALES" designation becomes a misdemeanor offense

Provisions related to the new ID designation and seller requirements take effect January 1, 2028
