Adds human trafficking (as defined in Penal Code Section 236.1) to the list of crimes that qualify as "good cause" for granting a continuance when the assigned prosecutor has another trial, preliminary hearing, or motion to suppress in progress

Limits continuances granted to the prosecution to a maximum of one per case for human trafficking cases

Removes sexual exploitation of a child and extortion from the proposed expansion of qualifying crimes (these were struck from an earlier version of the bill)

Maintains the existing 10-court-day maximum for any continuance granted under the good cause provision for specified serious crimes
