Prohibits courts from requiring that notice be provided to the party to be restrained before filing an application for an ex parte domestic violence restraining order

Prohibits courts from requiring an explanation or declaration to justify a party's decision not to provide advance notice to the person being restrained

Prevents courts from denying an ex parte restraining order, in whole or in part, because the other party was not provided with notice

Bars courts from adopting or maintaining any rule, form, or practice inconsistent with these notice provisions

Amends Family Code Sections 6300 and 6326 to codify these protections for domestic violence victims seeking emergency protective orders
