Exempts beverage distributors from paying redemption fees to the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery when donating filled water or juice containers to California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations

Applies specifically to noncarbonated water, carbonated and noncarbonated fruit drinks, and vegetable juice containers; all other beverage donations, samples, or giveaways remain subject to redemption payments

Requires distributors to prepare and maintain donation records for at least five years, including charitable receipts, donation dates, container quantities and types, and shipping documentation

Records must document the amount of redemption payments that would have been owed if the exemption did not apply
