Allows community care facilities to approve individuals to care for children before completing out-of-state child abuse and neglect registry checks, provided a request has been submitted and all other background checks (DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Central Index) are cleared

Prohibits applicants awaiting out-of-state registry results from having unsupervised contact with residents or clients, though they may work under supervision during this period

Requires licensees to immediately remove any applicant from the facility upon receiving disqualifying information from the out-of-state registry check and notify the department within 3 business days

Applies to facilities eligible to accept dependent children, including foster family homes, certified family homes, and resource families where household members 18 or older have lived in another state within the past 5 years
