CA AB2008

Requires any bill mandating school districts, county offices of education, or charter schools to complete plans or reports with undefined end dates to include an automatic repeal or sunset provision within 4 years

Directs the Legislative Counsel to automatically include the 4-year sunset provision when drafting such bills, unless specifically instructed otherwise by the bill's author

Exempts routine reporting requirements from the sunset mandate, including local control funding formula reports and California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System submissions

Extends to local educational agencies the same automatic reporting sunset procedures that currently apply to state agency reporting requirements to the Legislature
