Requires California community college districts to allow faculty who are deported, detained, or leave due to immigration enforcement to continue teaching remotely from outside the United States

Applies to faculty who departed on or after January 1, 2027, due to Department of Homeland Security enforcement actions, threat of enforcement, or being denied reentry after a brief trip abroad

Faculty must submit an attestation to the district's human resources department verifying their departure reason to qualify for the remote teaching arrangement

Districts must allow qualifying faculty to perform their contracted instruction and professional duties through distance education or other remote modalities to the extent possible

Creates a state-mandated local program, requiring state reimbursement to community college districts for implementation costs
