Courts presiding over sexually violent predator civil commitment proceedings that are open to the public must provide a remote access option allowing members of the public to remotely observe the proceeding

Adds Section 6600.2 to the Welfare and Institutions Code to establish this remote access requirement

Applies to proceedings related to civil commitment determinations and petitions for conditional release of sexually violent predators

Requires a majority vote to pass and has been referred to fiscal committee review
