Revises the perjury acknowledgment language that prospective jurors must agree to prior to voir dire examination, requiring them to acknowledge under penalty of perjury that they will accurately and truthfully answer all questions about their qualifications and ability to serve

Updates the post-selection acknowledgment for seated trial jurors, requiring them to agree they will carefully consider the case and reach a verdict based only on evidence presented and instructions on the law given by the court

Simplifies both jury acknowledgment statements by removing previously existing language and streamlining the required affirmations

Approved by the Governor on July 14, 2025, and requires only a majority vote with no fiscal impact or appropriation
