Prohibits health care service plans and health insurers from imposing weekly caps or other restrictions on authorized behavioral health treatment hours for autism or pervasive developmental disorder within a 6-month authorization period.

Requires all authorized treatment hours to remain available for use throughout the entire 6-month authorization period, preventing forfeiture of unused hours.

Amends existing law requiring coverage for behavioral health treatment, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), for individuals with autism or pervasive developmental disorder.

Applies to both health care service plans regulated by the Department of Managed Health Care and health insurance policies regulated by the Department of Insurance.
