Requires hospital administrators to notify patients, patient governments, and patient groups in writing about any newly authorized expenditure options for the benefit fund

Written notifications may be delivered in person, by regular mail, electronic means, or other delivery methods

Updates gendered pronouns ("he or she," "his or her") to gender-neutral language ("they," "their") throughout the statute

Maintains existing requirement that hospital administrators consider recommendations from patient government representatives and patient groups before expending benefit fund moneys
