California Olympic and Paralympic Public Safety Command (COPPSC) must negotiate agreements with state and local agencies, including those outside California, to facilitate training, mutual cooperation, information sharing, and use of public safety personnel for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games

Out-of-state public safety personnel supporting the Games must obtain a certificate of training from the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) through a streamlined training program

POST must establish a streamlined training program satisfying key POST qualification requirements tailored to the unique conditions of the 2028 Games, with certificates valid only for the period before and during the Games

All contracted public safety personnel must serve on a temporary basis within a reasonable timeframe before and during the Games and must comply with all state and local laws, including immigration enforcement limitations under Section 7282.5

The streamlined training program provisions expire January 1, 2029
