Makes nonsubstantive (technical) changes to Labor Code Section 2929, which prohibits employers from discharging employees due to wage garnishment threats or actual garnishment for one judgment

Updates gendered language throughout the statute, replacing "his" with "the employee's" and "he" with "the employee"

Modernizes phrasing by changing "No employer may" to "An employer shall not" and replacing "such" with "that" or "those"

Removes redundant phrase "in his discretion" when describing the Labor Commissioner's authority to take assignment of wage claims

Does not change any substantive employee protections, remedies, or employer obligations under the existing wage garnishment discharge law
