Authorizes county behavioral health directors to develop procedures for mobile crisis teams or units handling emergency situations or crisis incidents involving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (including autism) or behavioral health conditions

Applies to counties that operate or contract for the operation of mobile crisis teams or units

Defines "intellectual or developmental disability" using the same meaning as "developmental disability" in existing law (Section 4512 of the Welfare and Institutions Code)

Removes previously proposed requirements that procedures address specific items such as deescalation techniques, appropriate use of force, and transportation guidance (struck from amended version)

Removes authorization for county behavioral health directors to develop training in conjunction with law enforcement (struck from amended version)
