Extends the Local Prepaid Mobile Telephony Services Collection Act from January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2031

Continues the suspension of local authority for cities and counties to directly impose utility user taxes on prepaid mobile telephony services during this extended period

Maintains the requirement that local charges on prepaid mobile services be collected by sellers at the point of sale and remitted to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration

Collected funds continue to be deposited into the Local Charges for Prepaid Mobile Telephony Services Fund for distribution to cities and counties

No state reimbursement to local agencies is required because costs relate only to changes in crime definitions under the Fee Collection Procedures Law and perjury statutes
