Requires the $489 monthly foster care supplement for children living with parents who receive AFDC-FC, Kin-GAP, or ARC payments to be adjusted annually for inflation beginning July 1, 2026

Inflation adjustment will be calculated using the California Necessities Index (CNI)

The supplement covers care and supervision costs when a child lives with a foster youth parent receiving foster care benefits

Counties administering these foster care programs will not receive state reimbursement for implementing the new inflation adjustment requirement
