Amends Penal Code Section 422 regarding criminal threats that will result in death or great bodily injury to another person

Authorizes courts to consider an aggravating factor during felony sentencing when the defendant knew the victim was a state constitutional officer, Member of the Legislature, or judge/court commissioner

The aggravating factor applies when the threat was willfully made against these specified public officials

Criminal threats remain punishable as either a misdemeanor (up to one year in county jail) or a felony (state prison)
