Requires persons using bots to autonomously communicate online to ensure the bot discloses it is not a human being when first communicating with someone, answers truthfully about its identity, and refrains from misleading people about being a bot

Redefines "bot" as an automated online account or application that a reasonable person could believe is a human being and whose actions are substantially outputs of generative artificial intelligence

Maintains existing prohibition on using bots to deceive people for commercial transactions or to influence elections without disclosure

Exempts persons using bots already subject to more prescriptive disclosure requirements under other laws

Authorizes the Attorney General, district attorneys, county counsels, city attorneys, or city prosecutors to seek injunctive relief or civil penalties of $1,000 per violation
