Requires local educational agencies (school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools) to post the Attorney General's "Know Your Educational Rights" immigration enforcement guide in administrative buildings and on websites of each schoolsite in all languages the Attorney General provides

Mandates that posted guides be updated the school year following any updates published by the Attorney General

Contains an alternative version (Section 1.5) that becomes operative if AB 49 also passes, which would add stronger protections including prohibiting immigration enforcement officers from entering nonpublic school areas without a valid judicial warrant, subpoena, or court order

The alternative version would also prohibit schools from disclosing student records or personal information to immigration enforcement officers without a valid judicial warrant, subpoena, or court order, and require policy updates by March 1, 2026

Authorizes state reimbursement to local educational agencies if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill imposes state-mandated costs
