Expands the definition of "direct supervision" for radiologic technologists performing venipuncture to include physicians who are available immediately via audio and video communication with access to patient medical imaging records, in addition to being physically present

Requires facilities using remote physician supervision to have onsite personnel (physician, registered nurse, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, or physician assistant) licensed to respond to adverse events at the physician's direction

Mandates that all facilities have safety protocols for venipuncture procedures performed by radiologic technologists

Facilities where a physician is physically present and immediately available to intervene are only required to have safety protocols, not additional licensed personnel onsite
