Contracts for transitional housing placement providers and Transitional Housing Program-Plus providers serving foster youth and former foster youth must have an initial term of 3 years

After the initial 3-year term, contracts may be renewed twice for 1 additional year per renewal (up to 5 years total)

Following two 1-year renewals, contracts may then be renewed for additional 10-year terms

Counties may terminate a contract or portion of contracted services before the term ends by providing at least 90 days' notice to the contractor

The bill imposes new duties on counties but does not require state reimbursement, as costs fall under 2011 Realignment Legislation
