Repeals and replaces Probate Code Section 15804 to update rules for when notice to a representative satisfies legal requirements to notify trust beneficiaries

Allows various parties to represent and bind others for trust notice purposes, including parents for minor children, conservators for conservatees, guardians for wards, agents for principals, and trustees for beneficiaries

Requires written consent when a person authorizes another to represent and bind them, with represented persons able to object before consent becomes effective

Prohibits representation when a conflict of interest exists, and specifically bars settlors from representing beneficiaries regarding termination or modification of irrevocable trusts

Protects fiduciaries who rely on valid representations from liability unless they acted intentionally, with gross negligence, in bad faith, or with reckless indifference to beneficiary interests
