Expands the definition of "secure facility" for firearms dealers and manufacturers to include an additional approved doorway option for storing firearms when not open for business

Allows perimeter doorways to use a windowed or windowless steel door equipped with panic hardware that operates a multipoint lock bolting into the interior door frame

Requires doors with the new panic hardware option to have a latch guard over the bolt closest to the primary locking bolt to protect against prying or cutting

Windowed doors using the panic hardware option must have windows with openings of 5 inches or more covered with steel bars (at least ½ inch diameter) or metal grating (at least 9 gauge)

Approved by Governor and filed with Secretary of State on July 14, 2025
