Requires public adjuster contracts to specify the exact claims and coverages their services apply to, and prohibits adjusters from charging fees based on insurance payments the insured received before signing the contract (for catastrophic disasters or states of emergency) or payments for claims/coverages not covered by their services

Prohibits public adjusters from soliciting policyholders or their representatives during active loss-producing events (such as when emergency responders are present or evacuation orders are in effect) or between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Extends the contract cancellation period from 3 business days to 5 calendar days for claims related to catastrophic disasters or declared states of emergency

Allows insureds to void or rescind contracts without time limit if the public adjuster misrepresented or concealed material facts or violated solicitation rules

Declared an urgency statute to take effect immediately to protect wildfire victims and disaster survivors from predatory practices and unfair fees by public adjusters
