Requires the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to jointly evaluate the Ventura Training Center, which trains formerly incarcerated individuals for firefighting careers

Evaluation must assess how to streamline enrollment for individuals who participated in the California Conservation Camp program, ways to increase the number of graduates entering the firefighter workforce, and feasibility of establishing additional centers in other regions

Report on the evaluation must be submitted to the Senate and Assembly Committees on Public Safety, Senate Committee on Organization, and Assembly Committee on Emergency Management by January 1, 2026

Provisions will be repealed on January 1, 2030
