Counties must make an initial determination of foster care benefit amounts within 30 days of the juvenile court's initial order to detain a child

Counties must review a child's or nonminor dependent's eligibility and benefit amounts annually and whenever they receive information indicating a potential change in eligibility or benefits

When a child or nonminor dependent becomes ineligible for their current foster care program but qualifies for another, the county must transfer them to the new program without interruption of benefits and provide notice explaining the change

Counties must provide notice of action to caregivers or nonminor dependents when determining ineligibility for all foster care programs, including specific reasons for each determination

The bill applies to multiple foster care benefit programs including Kinship Guardianship Assistance Payment Programs, AFDC-Foster Care, Approved Relative Caregiver Funding Program, and Adoption Assistance Program
