Authorizes up to 35 projects per year for noncommercial wildfire fuels reduction on timberland to use a timber harvesting plan to satisfy California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements

Projects must be less than 1,500 acres in size (increased from original 1,000-acre limit) and funded in part or fully with public funds

Creates an exemption from the standard requirement that timber operations submit a timber harvesting plan approved by the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection

Provisions will sunset and be automatically repealed on January 1, 2031

No state reimbursement to local agencies required, as any new costs stem from changes to crime definitions under existing law
