Requires the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to pay a death benefit to designated beneficiaries of incarcerated hand crew members who die while serving in the California Conservation Camp firefighting program

Death benefit must be paid within 60 days if the incarcerated firefighter dies during active deployment, during firefighter training exercises, or while incapacitated due to injuries from those duties

Death benefit amount equals $50,000 plus 50% of the deceased crew member's annual compensation earned in the 12 months prior to death

Applies specifically to state prison incarcerated individuals assigned as hand crew members in the Conservation Camp program supervised by the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
