Members of the State Air Resources Board appointed from air quality management districts or air pollution control districts would now receive the annual salary provided to other board members, eliminating the current prohibition on their compensation

Repeals the per diem payment of $100 per day (capped at $1,000 per month) that elected official members currently receive for attending board meetings or conducting official business

District-appointed members would continue to be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses, with named districts reimbursing their own appointees and the state board reimbursing members from non-named districts

Salaries for the newly compensated district-appointed members would be paid by the state board as specified in Government Code Section 11564
