Commission staff must review applications within 30 days of filing and notify applicants of any deficiencies; applicants have 60 days to correct deficiencies or explain why they cannot

The 270-day timeline may be extended if the environmental impact report requires recirculation, substantial project changes occur, new significant information emerges, or additional time is needed for wildlife or water board surveys due to seasonal constraints

Applicants must identify whether their project qualifies as a priority project and provide the basis for that designation in their application
