Exempts projects to repair or reconstruct bridges (30 feet or less) and culverts (70 feet or less) in Sutter County from lake and streambed alteration agreement requirements under the Fish and Game Code

Applies only to structures damaged or destroyed by fire, flood, storm, earthquake, land subsidence, gradual earth movement, or landslide between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2024

Requires entities undertaking these projects to conduct biological surveys, consult with the Department of Fish and Wildlife on species protection measures, and implement recommended protections

Excludes projects on the state highway system or at intersections/connections to the state highway system, and excludes one specific project (EPIMS Notification No. SUT-53568-R2)

The exemption expires on January 1, 2027, and requires written notification to the department within 14 days of beginning work
