Honors Deputy Sheriff Dighton Little, who was sworn in as a San Joaquin County Deputy Sheriff in 1979 and served in the Custody Division, Patrol Division, Detective Division, and as a charter member of the county's SWAT team

Deputy Little was shot and killed on October 20, 1989, while serving a drug search warrant in Ripon, California as part of the SWAT team

Requests the Department of Transportation to determine signage costs and erect appropriate memorial highway signs upon receiving sufficient donations from nonstate sources
