Grants healthcare providers 90 days to submit a corrected claim after a health care service plan or health insurer denies a claim or issues an overpayment notice due to a correctable defect

Prohibits health plans and insurers from denying corrected claims on the basis that the provider missed the original claim filing deadline

Applies to both health care service plans regulated by the Department of Managed Health Care and health insurers regulated by the Department of Insurance

Introduced by Senator Weber Pierson on February 12, 2026, and adds new sections to the Health and Safety Code (Section 1371.21) and Insurance Code (Section 10123.134)
