Updates the examination requirement for respiratory care practitioner licensure in California from the National Board for Respiratory Care's Therapist Multiple-Choice Examination and Clinical Simulation Examination to the Respiratory Therapy Examination at the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential level

Maintains the existing exemption allowing applicants who passed the Certified Respiratory Therapist Examination or Written Registry Examination before January 1, 2015, to satisfy the examination requirement

Amends Section 3735 of the Business and Professions Code under the Respiratory Care Practice Act

Requires no state appropriation and has no local program impact, though it will go through fiscal committee review
