Adds Amador and Nevada counties to the list of counties where deputy sheriffs with custodial assignments are classified as peace officers with limited statewide authority

Deputy sheriffs in these counties who work exclusively on custodial duties (jail operations, inmate custody, care, supervision, security, and transportation) have peace officer authority only while performing their employment duties

These custodial deputy sheriffs may also exercise peace officer authority when performing other law enforcement duties directed by their employing agency during a local state of emergency

Approved by Governor on July 14, 2025; requires no appropriation and has no fiscal impact
