Extends workers' compensation presumptions for occupational injuries to active firefighting members of fire departments at FAA-regulated commercial airports, effective for injuries occurring on or after January 1, 2026

Airport firefighters must be trained and certified by the State Fire Marshal as meeting Fire Control 5 standards and FAA regulations under 14 CFR Section 139.319 to qualify for the presumptions

Covered presumptions include cancer, post-traumatic stress disorder, hernia, heart trouble, pneumonia, tuberculosis, meningitis, blood-borne infectious diseases, MRSA skin infections, and biochemical substance exposure

Presumptions extend after termination of service for 3 calendar months per full year of service, with maximum periods ranging from 60 to 120 months depending on the condition

Existing law already covered firefighters at Department of Defense and NASA installations; this bill adds commercial airport firefighters to those same protections
