CA SB558

Allows members of the initial appointed board of directors of the Imperial Valley Healthcare District to run for and become the first elected board members for a voting district, if otherwise eligible and elected by that district's voters

Removes the previous prohibition that barred initial appointed board members from being eligible for the first round of elections

The Imperial Valley Healthcare District covers all of Imperial County and must be divided into seven voting districts for electing board members

Board members must have been residents of their voting district for 30 days preceding the election to be eligible to hold office
