Extends the state sales and use tax exemption for zero-emission technology transit buses from January 1, 2026 to January 1, 2028

Applies to zero-emission transit buses sold to cities, counties, transit districts, and other public agencies providing transit services that are eligible for the California Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project

Covers various transit bus types including articulated buses, cutaway buses, double-decker buses, over-the-road buses, shuttle buses, and trolley buses

Does not exempt these purchases from local sales and use taxes levied by counties, cities, or districts under the Bradley-Burns Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Law or Transactions and Use Tax Law

Takes effect immediately as a tax levy
