Requires health care service plans and insurance policies issued, amended, or renewed on or after January 1, 2027, to cover all FDA-approved medically necessary treatments and medications for Alzheimer's disease and related dementia.

Prohibits health plans and insurers from imposing step therapy protocols (requiring patients to try cheaper drugs first) for Alzheimer's treatments, provided at least one antiamyloid therapy is covered without step therapy.

Mandates that coverage criteria for FDA-approved dementia treatments cannot be more restrictive than the FDA-approved indications for those treatments.

Requires non-self-administered Alzheimer's treatments covered as medical benefits to also be available as outpatient prescription drug benefits.

Exempts dental-only, vision-only, Medicare supplement, and Medi-Cal managed care contracts from these requirements.
