Strongly condemns mass immigration raids targeting immigrant workers and families in California and denounces the deployment of military forces (4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines) to suppress community protests and conduct immigration enforcement

Since June 6, 2025, over 1,600 people have been arrested in Los Angeles County raids at work sites, homes, and public spaces, with additional arrests across Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura Counties

Affirms California's commitment to protecting the rights and safety of all residents regardless of immigration status, including upholding due process and civil liberties

Supports expanding legal services and emergency response resources for workers, children, and families affected by immigration enforcement

Notes California is home to over 10 million immigrants, including 2 million undocumented residents who contributed $8.5 billion in state and local taxes in 2022 and comprise nearly half of the state's agricultural workforce
