HB11-1075 Summary

• Limits the $10 million annual requirement for the Colorado Department of Transportation to spend highway users tax fund revenues on transit-related projects to fiscal years ending before July 1, 2015

• Excludes bikeway and dedicated bicycle lane construction, reconstruction, or maintenance from the definition of "road safety project," except where necessary for bicyclist or motorist safety at road-bikeway intersections

• Repeals the provision dedicating $5 million per year from FASTER revenues to the state transit and rail fund for local government transit grants, effective June 30, 2015

• Section 2 takes effect July 1, 2011, applying to all road safety projects beginning work on or after that date; remaining sections take effect upon passage
