SB11-022 Summary

• Amends Colorado Revised Statutes section 2-4-109 to establish daylight saving time as the year-round standard time within the state
• Changes the standard time from United States Mountain Standard Time to one hour in advance of Mountain Standard Time permanently
• Eliminates the seasonal time change that previously occurred between the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November
• Takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly, or August 10, 2011 if adjournment occurs on May 11, 2011
• Subject to referendum petition; if challenged, the act requires approval by voters at the November 2012 general election to take effect
