Senate Bill 11-142: Supplemental Appropriation to the Judicial Department

• Amends the judicial department appropriation for fiscal year 2010-11 by adjusting funding levels across multiple programs and divisions.

• Modifies the drug offender surcharge fund appropriation from $1,468,196 to $1,068,196, with additional funds made available as necessary for implementation.

• Adjusts the independent ethics commission appropriation from $270,822 to $283,593 with 2.0 FTE for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010.

• Establishes judicial compensation salary levels including Chief Justice at $142,708, Associate Justices at $139,660, and District Court Judges at $128,598.

• Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
