HB 12-1054 Summary

• A signed state-approved provider application fulfills commitment voucher requirements and fiscal compliance requirements under Section 24-30-202(1), C.R.S. for providers already approved to participate in Department of Health Care Policy and Financing programs.

• The Executive Director may promulgate rules to exempt approved providers from additional procurement requirements for programs including Medicaid, Children's Basic Health Plan, Colorado Indigent Care Program, school health services, Primary Care Fund programs, and state-funded old age pension health programs.

• "Provider" is defined to include health care providers, mental health providers, pharmacists, home health agencies, school districts, and entities providing health care services through fee-for-service, managed care, behavioral health organizations, medical homes, or other coordinated care systems.

• The act is declared necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
