CO HB1055

Renames the Division of Registrations in the Department of Regulatory Agencies to the Division of Professions and Occupations, with the Revisor of Statutes directed to update all references throughout Colorado Revised Statutes within three years.

Requires the Department of Regulatory Agencies to conduct an initial analysis and evaluation of the Division of Professions and Occupations by October 15, 2015, and every ten years thereafter, in accordance with section 24-34-104(8).

Establishes the Division of Professions and Occupations Cash Fund to hold fees collected by boards and commissions, with separate accounting for a legal defense account funded by excise taxes for board legal expenses.

Updates statutory language regarding license renewal, reinstatement, endorsement, fee adjustments, and administrative procedures for Type 1 and Type 2 boards and commissions under the division's oversight.

Takes effect August 8, 2012, unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case approval by voters in November 2012 is required.
