• Establishes $500 aggregate contribution limits per person for candidates for RTD director and school district director positions for primary, general, regular, or runoff elections.

• Establishes $5,000 aggregate contribution limits per small donor committee for candidates for RTD director and school district director positions.

• Requires RTD director and school district director candidates to file campaign finance disclosure reports with the secretary of state following existing campaign contribution disclosure requirements.

• Specifies school district director candidates must file quarterly reports in off-election years, biweekly reports starting eight weeks before elections, and monthly reports beginning six months before elections.

• Takes effect July 1, 2012, and applies to election cycles and calendar years commencing on or after that date.
