Expands the definition of "investment information" to include investment vehicles, investment managers, general partners, and fund sponsors, replacing the previous reference to only "portfolio company"

Broadens protected investment information categories to include portions of lists of current or projected investment opportunities that would cause competitive harm, proprietary information, and documents investors must maintain as confidential for due diligence purposes

Changes the term "portfolio company" to "investment vehicle" throughout the statute and specifies that investment vehicles include sponsored funds, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies

Modifies exemption provisions to clarify that only the association (not just the investment fiduciary) may be party to agreements whose investment information portions are exempt from public disclosure

Requires the board to publish annual public investment reports listing each investment vehicle name, aggregate investment amounts, and rates of return, with the act taking effect August 8, 2012, subject to referendum
